The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance, statutory reporting, financial assurance, and risk management of Rethink Australia Foundation Ltd.
Dr Cameron Kelly

Cameron has over 20 years’ post-qualification experience advising project developers, sponsors, institutional financiers and government entities on major energy, resources and complex infrastructure projects globally.
Cameron was formerly General Counsel and Company Secretary at the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), where he served for over eight years as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In this role, he directed legal and governance operations for first-of-a-kind renewable energy, battery storage and green hydrogen investments, including the federal government’s $2 billion Hydrogen Headstart program.
Prior to this, Cameron held senior legal roles in private practice with King & Wood Mallesons and in-house with Alcazar Energy in Dubai and the New Port Project in Qatar, advising on project-financed solar, wind and infrastructure assets across Australia, the Middle East and Europe. He is currently working as a legal consultant with QIC, advising on Queensland’s $14 billion CopperString power transmission project.
Over the course of his career, Cameron has authored several book chapters and journal articles on international energy law, renewable hydrogen and energy transition regulation. Cameron holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law from the University of Eastern Finland, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master of Environmental Science (Honours) from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the Australian Defence Force Academy. He also served nine years as an officer in the Australian Army, attaining the rank of Captain. Cameron is an admitted legal practitioner with the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland.

Executive Leadership
Our executive leadership team directs daily operations, technology deployments, and campus network expansion across Australian schools.
Sunny is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rethink Australia Foundation Ltd, leading the organisation's national strategy, strategic corporate partnerships, hardware deployment initiatives, and campus network expansion across Australian schools.
A systems engineer, Sunny is the founder of an open global content delivery network serving millions of requests monthly. His work centres on “Green Web” digital efficiency and accessibility initiatives, utilising edge-side asset optimisation to reduce data transfer sizes by up to 90%. By cutting redundant bandwidth and lowering internet carbon intensity, this infrastructure makes the open web significantly faster and more accessible, particularly for the 40% of global users relying on slower 3G connections and constrained networks.
At Rethink Australia, Sunny leads product development alongside the foundation's engineering and research teams on the Refugo AI smart bin platform. He oversees the integration of low-latency, on-device computer vision models engineered to classify waste streams locally in fractions of a second completely offline. A founder across multiple technology startups, his broader technical background spans embedded machine learning, language modelling, and full-stack operational management systems.
Currently in Year 12 at Newington College, Sunny is undertaking the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme with Higher Level studies in Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches), Physics, and Economics. Serving as a School Prefect, Captain of Sustainability, Captain of Robotics, and Editor-in-Chief of the student publication In Black & White, he has a proven track record of delivering lasting campus infrastructure, technical education, and behavioural programs. He founded the College's inaugural robotics club, personally mentoring over 70 students through competition engineering, and authored the operational masterplans for the school's campus-wide FOGO organic waste rollout, active transport bicycle infrastructure expansion, and inter-house container recycling initiatives. Sunny's honours include achieving a Perfect Score (2025) and placing 6th in the Asia-Pacific region (2024) in the Oxford University Computing Challenge, winning multiple Australian National Robotics titles, and serving as the Inaugural STEM Platoon Commander within the Newington College Army Cadet Unit, where he authored the founding technical curriculum to establish a permanent STEM pathway for hundreds of students to come.
